Jamaila Cahilig develops and executes strategy for external marketing and internal communications, and initiates key strategic projects. She manages and implements plans to ensure optimal and consistent branding and messaging across a variety of channels — print, media, advertising, digital, targeted events, and industry sponsorships. She is responsible for positioning AIG Philippines as thought leaders and experts in risk management and for highlighting the importance and relevance of business insurance.
Internally, she oversees and manages the overall brand and is the local custodian of corporate brand assets. She also leads the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to ensure that the team initiates activities that are aligned to AIG’s three philanthropic themes: Safety, Security, and Disaster preparedness.
Jamaila started at ABS-CBN as an Editorial Assistant for an entertainment and lifestyle magazine. She then joined a public relations firm, handling PR & marketing communications projects, events, and brand building initiatives. Jam has a decade of experience in developing and executing custom-built communications plans amongst a variety of industries both from an agency-side perspective and a client-side perspective— and understands the importance of both developing and executing the communications plan. Prior to joining AIG in 2013, she worked at a South African mining company based in Benguet and implemented IEC materials (Information, Education & Communication) to support its regulatory and community information dissemination campaigns.
Jamaila has Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Santo Tomas and a Master’s Degree in Marketing Communications from De La Salle University.
